I just wanted to share a few things that I have been learning during my experience this summer. I am loving the art side of my college studies that have grown through this internship. I still want to take on another internship though that focuses more on the advertising side later on. Both aspects are so interesting to me!
One of my earliest assignments during my internship was to design sketches for the upcoming windows at Anthropologie. I knew the theme this season was based on flowers and natural dyes so I explored a few abstract concepts first.
So far I am loving this internship! The only catch is the fact that I have to be at work at 6am, but I'm even getting used to that and enjoying the early mornings. I love watching the sun come up through the giant windows from inside the store.
This internship focuses on connecting with the customer while keeping the high standards of the company. One thing that I didn't know is that Anthro rarely, if ever, advertises outside of it's physical stores. That's why they are able to keep a design team at each location! It's all about the customer's experience and I have had a great one while interning with them.

Your sketches are lovely! Are you wanting to intern at an ad agency? It's a lot different experience from you get to do at Anthro, but still fun. And of course, it depends on which agency you work at!
