How to Turn a Woven Tapestry into a Pillow

Can you imagine filling your couch with handwoven pillows? Guess what? With a sewing machine and some stuffing, It’s easy to turn a woven tapestry into a pillow!

Some tips for weaving a tapestry that easily works as a pillow.

Use tightly spun yarn. Yarns that are too thick or loose pill and loosen over time.

Don’t use roving. Roving is a very fragile material that doesn’t work well on frequently-handled project.

Use flat weave techniques. Leave all the loopy fringe and bulbous clouds to your wall tapestries. Flat, tight techniques help to keep your pillow looking clean and new.
