Best Yarns for Weaving | March Picks

best yarns for weaving

Have you been looking for some amazing yarn to weave with? Something with a story behind it.... perhaps something you can't get at your local craft store? Each month I pick four of my favorite materials to highlight, both to support the brands behind these incredible fibres... and to help other weavers discover something new!

Finding new materials to weave with is one of my favorite parts about the craft. If you want to learn more about weaving, check out my online video classes in the menu, and don't forget to sign up for my newsletter to receive 10% off all classes!

This post contains affilitate links. This means if you make a purchase through the links in this post I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Click the photos below to follow the link to any of the fibers from my picks. Each month the list at the bottom will be updated with new month's picks. If you want to read more about them, click on the name of the month above the fiber group to go to that blog post.

LION BRAND

This yarn is the perfect thickness, plus it has a hint of metallic sparkle spun throughout each strand. It creates a wonderful, subtle sparkle.

GANXXET

I enjoy using recycled materials, just like this fabric yarn. It comes in many colors, but it has quite a bit of stretch, so watch your tension!

FORESTS AND MEADOWS

This is a very thin fingering yarn. I usually weave with 3-4 strands at a time. What I love most about the shop is that all of the yarns are plant dyed so they create the prettiest, natural colors.

VANNA'S GLAMOUR

This yarn is from another collection under Lion Brand Yarns!

This yarn is a deep blue sapphire color with metallic string spun throughout. It has the perfect shimmer when light hits it.
